An Ailyn Cunanan with an email address of “nice.onlinejobhunt@gmail.com” introduced herself as HRD-Specialist of the company. She was said to be contacting the applicants to submit important documents such as Valid ID, NBI, TOR, Diploma and COE through email while also suggesting the applicants to provide the certifications with the processing fee of P500.00.

Digitalmoz is NOT connected to any Ailyn Cunanan or whoever attending the said “online application”.

Digitalmoz only uses legitimate email address and personally invites applicants in its office located at 1816 Cityland 10 Tower 2, HV Dela Costa St., Salcedo Village, Makati City for interview and examination.

We do NOT ask for any amount of money in any manner when hiring employees.

Please be aware of this person or anyone who seeks monetary requirements for Digitalmoz. Any similar instances may be reported through our website.

Digitalmoz is currently investigating and considering legal actions for anyone liable for this scam.

But in order to know whether the campaign is effective or not, you need to keep track of your current accomplishments and see which ones are working and which ones are just a waste of time.

Here are some ways to keep track of your campaign while it is ongoing:

Use trackable links.

In linkbuilding, it is important that you spread them to different sites in hopes of exposure. But it is not easy to track how many people were able to view your  website through that link. One tool is to create a bitly account and use it to create links that you promote on different sites such as Facebook or Twitter.

Bitly can monitor how many people have clicked on your links and you can use it to analyze the traffic and which links are gaining clicks. Creating an account is easy and all you need to do to create a shortened link on bitly is to copy-paste the original URL and it will automatically generate a new URL for you.

Don’t be shy to ask your clients

One of the first things you should ask to your clients is how or where they found out about you, whether from a directory, referral, newspaper or even on social media accounts. This is a simple and straightforward way of knowing where your leads are generating from and which of your campaigns are working.

With this issue circulating via the internet at present, can we conclude now that online media has more potential in giving more reliable and timely news and information because of its click-erase-change capability, that can happen in just a blink of an eye?

Yesterday, I logged on to my Twitter account to find out the latest news about the conclave.

Based on my observation, most of the news agencies in the Philippines with social media accounts including Rappler.com and ABS-CBN News.com are very active in posting the latest news and happenings up to the time wherein they tweeted that black smoke appeared in the chimney of the Sistine Chapel.

I immediately re-posted it on my Facebook account so I can also update my friends and officemates who want to know the result of the conclave.

It’s really amazing how news and updates circulate fast within the Twitter world. In this regard, we can give the credit to the internet as a very helpful platform in times we need urgency.

On the other hand, this does not mean that we have to criticize the efforts of those who are in the print media because of this incident.

We all know that it is an honest mistake but, they have to ensure the public that they are also vigilant and updated when it comes to current events that needs real time updates such as these.

As readers and audience, we also have to do our part. Being vigilant to know the latest happenings around us is very important. We should check our facts from different sources, especially in times like this- the principle of check and balance is still best tool in knowing the larger truth.

Quoting one of the comments of a netizen about the issue, indeed “Nobody is perfect”.

A new research conducted at the University of Cambridge Psychometrics Center and Microsoft Research Cambridge showed that people who “Like” curly fries are more likely to be geniuses. “Liking” Spider Man is More Scared Than U, on the other hand, means the person is a non-smoker.

Study Linking People’s “Likes” to their Personal Attributes.

That personalities can be reflected depending on the pages people “Like” on Facebook is almost a give-away. In a short view, this sounds somewhat like common-sense-at-work thing to anyone. But the results of the study revealed that liking even the most mundane items or pages say a lot about a person’s character.

The study analyzed the “Likes” from 58,466 volunteers and were able to predict with surprisingly high accuracy a range of intimate and personal information that are often undisclosed in Facebook.

By feeding the volunteers’ Likes” on algorithm and corroborating it with data gathered from submitted demographic profiles and psychometric testing results, the researchers were able to come up with a statistical model that can reveal personal details including their sexual preference, religious or political views, relationship status, as well as substance abuse through Facebook “Likes” alone.

For instance, the study was able to determine with 95% accuracy whether a person is Caucasian or African based on the pages that they “liked”. Whether a person is single or not or is into excessive drugs or not can also be predicted by their “likes” 65 to 73 percent of the time.

Digital Marketers have always been obsessed with tracking and measuring their market’s personality, behavior, and psychographs. They use these data to ensure that their various marketing efforts like Facebook campaigns will generate the effect or “change in behavior” that they want for their audience. But privacy issues and unwillingness to expose intimate details on the part of the consumers make this task unbelievably hard.

Consider Your Tone

Outright bragging, humble-bragging, constant complaining and rhetorical questions never go well with readers. Since readers cannot really discern your tone online, it is always better to be straight to the point and if you are opinionated towards a certain person or organization and Twitter is the only way that you rant, people will always associate you with this tone; and this will not gain any voters or sympathy. Take for example Mrs. Villar’s recent mishap where she seemed to underestimate Filipino nurses. Tongues got wagging and in few days, she will issue a statement to clear her name. This is a serious case of a “tone that went out of proportion”.

Don’t Demand People to Follow You Back or Add You

Demanding people to follow you back on Twitter is a sure sign of desperation and you don’t want that. Remember, the Philippines is a democratic country and they have the right who follow or not. Constant plugs for a follow back or like feels calculated and fake online. Follow, add or repin someone or something because you want to, not because you expect something in return.

Keep Your Political Rants To Yourself

Expect that in the next two months, Filipino netizens will use social media to express their “passionate postings” against a candidate or a Party List. This is a good way to exercise freedom of expression but there are still people who do not want to hear about it and the worst that can happen is that, you will lose followers and you will be in hot water.
